The discussion can be of many topics here, but I personally feel what is the different and why people are so much concerned about it. Does it real matter how the image was created and what the end result is? If the photo is very nice, eye caching, unique and kept you gaze at it and if only appreciation comes out for it, then why does it market if Photoshop was used or not. It can play a very vital role in the marketing perspective and if the image is nice then what difference does it makes, if it’s edited or not. After all it is all about the individual’s own way of looking at things. It was my personnel opinion about the digital photography, there are many people out there that still say that the original photos is the one that is taken. The real time clicked photos are the real ones. After all it is all about authentic photojournalism. The photos should be real and not created or staged. Real time photos with real expression and with right time is what makes the viewer happy, staged photos for promotion is not what is ethical. Misleading the viewer is not right way of art. After all photography is an art, it comes from within the human being; creating something that is no there and then clicking images is not relevant and misleading. Professional photographers in Dubai are very well recognised for such ethical results. They are widely acclaimed in Dubai area for authentic wedding photography as well as event photography. The images that are captured by such type and such images are here to stay and it stays in the mind of the person for a very long time.
There is no proud in creating artificial images and staged photos. And some photos have so much f significance that they don’t require editing. They itself conveys the message and don’t need any further tampering with. But if you talk about art photography or making them attractive then photos have been editing since like forever. Editing is misleading to the viewers and lot of time that images and the photos of art have turned out to be fake, even after decades or even centuries it has been found that many of the art painting have been fake and still has much of value and have been talked about and they will we talked about for many ages too.
The basic difference between taking images on scene and edit it is like this. Suppose in landscape photography, the whole photo is simply amazing. Perfect light, perfect glare of light but if a tree branch is sticking out then removing such from the photos is right. It was spoiling the whole photo. Removing something to make the thing more beautiful is worth it. End of the day whoever it is, they have there own style no photographer is same. They have there different look out towards things, all they try is to make the vast photo out of whatever is available.
After all we live in the digital world and if the tools and help available in the market can create once in a life time image, then using it is always recommended.
